Edna Pitts

Hazelwood, Edna Mae Pitts, age 92, of Camelot Drive, passed away on Saturday, February 5, 2011 at Autumn Care Nursing Home. A native of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Fletcher E. and Ella Mae Ramsey Kuykendall. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Pitts, who died in 1991; a son, Jerry Lee Byrd; and two brothers, F. E. Kuykendall, Jr. and James "Bug" Kuykendall. Edna retired from Wellco after 35 years service. She is survived by her son, Mike and Wife, Molly, Byrd of College Park, Georgia and one grandson, Michael Wayne Byrd and his wife, Mary, of Denison, Texas and two nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 9, 2011 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Tim Lolley officiating. Burial will follow at Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 9:30 until 11:00 prior to services.
