Edna Rogers

April 13, 1922 — July 11, 2004

Canton- Edna Clark Rogers age 82 died Sunday, July 11, 2004 at Haywood Regional Medical Center. She was a native and lifelong resident of Haywood County and was a daughter of the late Herbert and Maude Warren Clark. Mrs. Rogers was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Rogers who died in 1993; a sister, Marie Barrier and two brothers, Edward and Doyce Clark. She was a member of Riverside Baptist Church and enjoyed sewing, quilting and flowers. She is survived by three sons, Johnny Hugh Rogers, Tommy Lee Rogers and his wife Cleo and Teddy Joe Rogers all of Canton; one sister, Pearl Ward of Clyde; one brother, Ted Clark and his wife Lillian of Waynesville; three grandchildren, Marty, Timothy and Jonathan Rogers; and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Thursday, July 15, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. in the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Homes & Cremation Services with the Reverend Dr. David M. Odom and Reverend Stacy Hightower officiating. Burial will follow at Crawford/Ray Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Wednesday night from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. At other times, the family will be at the residence, 207 Chambers Cove Road, Canton, NC 28716.
