Waynesville, Edna Plemmons Webb, age 92, passed away on Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at Silver Bluff Nursing Home. Born in Haywood County, she was raised in the Spring Creek community of Madison County. She was the daughter of the late Raymond and Bertie Hall Plemmons and was also preceded in death by her husband, Neal J. Webb, who died in 2000; a daughter, Neal Ann Watson; one sister, Lessie Owenby; and two brothers, Buck and Grady Plemmons. She was a former employee of Dayco and a lifelong Avon representative. Edna always put her family at the forefront and was blessed with the gift of cooking, especially her homemade pies. Her positive attitude was always uplifting to those around her. Edna is survived by her son, Jacky Webb and his wife, Mikell, of Clyde; son-in-law, Retired LCDR John R. Watson, of Orlando, Florida; six grandchildren, Tracy Watson, Brandy Gleim, and Maddie, Gracie, Katherine, and Jacqueline Webb. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 23, 2014 at Long's Chapel United Methodist Church with Reverend Dr. Chuck Wilson, Reverend Darrell Webb, and Reverend Kelly Dotson officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9:30 until 11:00 a.m. prior to services at the church and at other times, the family will be at the residence of Jacky Webb.
