Edward Rogers

Canton-Edward Ray Rogers-62 of Waynesville, died unexpectedly Thursday, February 06, 2003 at his sister's residence.

He was a native of Buncombe County and had lived in Haywood County for the past fifteen years. He was the son of the late Jennings and Grace Williams Rogers.

He is survived by one sister Betty Owen and her husband Jim of Canton; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 9, 2003 in the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Homes with Reverend Donnie Henson officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home. At other times, the family will be at the residence of his sister, Betty Owen, 136 Pisgah Drive in Canton.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Rocky Face Missionary Baptist Church, 1635 Worley Cove Road, Canton, NC 28716.
