Edwin M. Galloway, Jr., 87, of Asheville, passed away Saturday, October 4, 2014. A native of Asheville, he was the son of the late Edwin Milton and Sarah Taylor Galloway. Edwin served in the US Army during World War II. He returned to Asheville from Oklahoma to be a caregiver for several family members.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Betty Jean Reagan.
Edward is survived by his wife, Beverly Jo Dean Galloway; sons, Edwin Milton (Adele) Galloway, III and Davis (Pamela) Galloway; sister, Dolores "Dot" (Neuland) Collier; brother-in-law, Leonard Reagan; step-children, Michael (Nancy) Adams, Charles (Linda) Adams, Kay Siegel, Steve Adams, and Darla Freeland; 12 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
A Graveside Service with Military Honors will be held at 2:00PM on Wednesday, October 8th at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Candler with Rev. John Speight officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service at Moore Funeral Home at Forest Lawn, Candler.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl, Memphis, TN 38105.
