Effie Earwood

Effie Marie McGuinn Earwood, 87, of Fairview, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, January 21, 2016. A native of Polk County, she was the daughter of the late Willie and Gartha Bradley McGuinn. Effie worked at an Alcohol Rehabilitation Center in Black Mountain as a Registered Nurse and was a member of Fletcher First Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings, Clarence McGuinn and Betty Coston.
She is survived by son, Michael Earwood and siblings, Marvin and Marion McGuinn, Margie Bailey, Naomi Pressley, Ruby Scott and Ramona Turner.
A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00PM on Sunday, January 24th at Moore Funeral Home at Forest Lawn, Candler with the family receiving friends at Noon. Light refreshments will be served after the service. Entombment will be held at 1:00PM on Monday, January 25th at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Candler.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Fletcher First Baptist Church Building Fund, PO Box 1658, Fletcher, NC 28732.
