Eileen Brannon

November 11, 1942 — June 10, 2006

Maggie Valley-Eileen McIntyre Brannon, 63, passed away on Saturday, June 10, 2006. She was a native of Sebring, FL and has lived in Haywood County for the last five years. She was the daughter of the late Carl and Mildred McIntyre. She was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers. Eileen was the County Executive Director for the Department of Agriculture for Hardee and surrounding counties in Florida. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church in Waynesville and The Order of Eastern Star in Ft. Meade, FL. She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Bernie Brannon; one daughter, Melanie B. Wink, of Tallahassee, FL; two sisters, Ellen Joyce Cain of Babson Park, FL and Catharine Palmer of Maggie Valley; two brothers, Robert "Bob" McIntyre of Ft. Myers, FL and Donald McIntyre of Blairsville, GA; one grandson, Brannon Wink; one step granddaughter, Elizabeth Wink; and several nieces, nephews and friends. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 17, 2006 at Antioch Baptist Church with Reverend Steve Taylor and Reverend Keith Martin officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the church. Memorials may be made to Haywood Regional Medical Center Hospice, 560 Leroy George Drive, Clyde, NC 28721 or Antioch Baptist Church, 542 Ironduff Road, Waynesville, NC 28785.
