Elaine Gores

Elaine Boyd Gores, age 62, died on Friday, June 3, 2011, at her residence. A native of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Edwin and Ruth Hunter Dotson. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Vickie Ann Wojtylko who died in 2005. Elaine was of the Baptist faith. She is survived by three sons, Jack Perry of Candler, Thomas Boyd and Joseph Boyd, Jr. both of Mills River; three sisters; four brothers, eight grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 8, 2011, at Bon-A-Venture Cemetery, Clyde with the Reverend Truman Wilson officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Wells Funeral Home of Canton. Memorials may be made to Bon-A-Venture Cemetery Maintenance Fund, 32 Rhoda Street, Canton, NC 28716
