Elbert Reece

Waynesville-Elbert Wayne Reece, age 54, died on Wednesday, March 1, 2006 at his residence. A native of Haywood County, he was the son of the late Lester Reece. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Edward Clayton and grandparents, Clayton and Elsie Nichols and Elbert and Bonnie Reece. He retired from Giles Chemical after 17 years employment and was a loyal member of Balsam Baptist Church. He loved music, especially Elvis, and also enjoyed helping his mother in her garden. He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Doris Nichols Reece Kerley and Harry Kerley; one son, DeWayne; a sister, Kathy Francis and husband, Donny; a brother, Tommy Reece; and one stepsister, Donna Kerley, all of Canton. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 4, 2006 in the Waynesville chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Johnny Swanger officiating.
