Elizabeth Carver

Waynesville, Elizabeth Ruth Farmer Harris Carver, 57, passed away on Thursday, December 22, 2016 at Maggie Valley Nursing and Rehab Center. Born in Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Roy Vinson and Ruth Ethel Poston Farmer and was also preceded in death by a sister, Marsha Rose Glance; and a brother, Dewey Leo Farmer. In the midst of the many challenges in Elizabeth's life, it was her family that provided the foundation of her happiness. Elizabeth was resilient, selfless and was grateful for the small things in life, like her hazelnut coffee. She will forever be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and friend. Elizabeth is survived by two daughters, Heidi Allen of Charlotte, North Carolina and Felicia Carver of Brevard; a brother, Steve Vinson Farmer of Bishopville, South Carolina; and two grandchildren, Eddie and Meagan Allen; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. A memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at East Fork Baptist Church.
