Elizabeth Fox

Waynesville, Elizabeth "Libbie" McCarter Fox, 56, passed away on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at Mission Hospital.

A native of Haywood County, she was the daughter of Oscar and Carolyn Moody McCarter. Libbie was a 1981 graduate of Tuscola High School. She was employed at Food Lion and enjoyed baking and crocheting.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, William Fox, Jr.; a daughter, Paula Lunsford; two sons, Jonathan Lunsford (Amanda) and Bobby Lunsford; three sisters, Sandy Hightower (Allen Birchfield), Terri McCarter and Charlotte Krege (Kyle); and four grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 13, 2018 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Jerry Nelson and Reverend Jennings Sizemore officiating. Burial will follow at Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 2:00 p.m. prior to services at the funeral home.
