Asheville - Elizabeth Wilson Haynes, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully at The Laurels at Greentree Ridge in Asheville on Sunday August 2, 2015. Elizabeth was born on September 4, 1923 and was the daughter of the late William Albert Wilson and Delola Burnett Wilson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Claude Haynes; her brothers, Paul, Harley, Eugene, Bassie and Pless Wilson, and a sister, Helen Kuykendall. She also enjoyed her many hobbies and activities such as sewing, gardening, cooking, and delighted in reading to her grandchildren. Survivors include her daughters Pat Haynes Crisp, Carol Haynes Fisk and husband Phillip; her granddaughters Cynthia Bumgarner, Natalie Fisk, Mary Lynn Fisk, and grandson Russell (Ty) McLean IV. Elizabeth is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, as well as grand-nieces and grand-nephews. Elizabeth leaves behind treasured friends at Beulah Baptist Church, where she was an active member for many years Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 5, 2015 in the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend Nicole Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Crawford/Ray Memorial Gardens in Clyde. The family will receive friends from 12 noon until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service.
