Waynesville, Elizabeth "Libby" Heinz, age 79, passed away on Thursday, April 27, 2017 at her residence in Knoxville, Tennessee. Libby was a native of Sylacauga, Alabama, she was the daughter of the late Reverend and Mrs. Alin Jones; in addition to parents she was preceded in death by her husband, J.D. Heinz; two brothers, William Jones and Paul Jones; a sister, Shirley Ryan; and a grandson, Patrick Callihan. Libby's life included a career in hairstyling, owning her own businesses in Waynesville and Canton. Libby enjoyed gardening to nurture her beautiful flowers and watching the many birds she fed in numerous bird feeders around her property. Her joy was sitting on the porch and watching the beautiful birds raise their families year after year. Libby sewed precious dresses for her granddaughters, knitting lovely scarves for everyone and watching her grandchildren in various recitals, band and sporting events. Libby is survived by three daughters, Kathy J. Callihan, and her husband, Benny, of Clarkton, North Carolina, Belinda K. Lattimer, and her husband, Joe, of Ashburn, Virginia, Lynn H. Stockett, of Knoxville, Tennessee; a son, Jason D. Heinz, and his wife, Teresa, of Waynesville; two sisters, Eunice Gray, of Birmingham, Alabama and Catherine Childs, and her husband, Artie, of Birmingham, Alabama; five grandchildren, Megan Summers, and her husband, Jeremy, of Clemmons, North Carolina, Jordan Wood, and her husband, Justin, of Dandridge, Tennessee, Jackson Heinz, currently stationed at Sheppard Air Force Base, Texas, Jones Heinz, of Waynesville, Chris Callihan, and his wife, Melanie, of Clarkton, North Carolina; four great grandchildren, Luke Summers, Easton Wood, Topher and Charm Callihan. Funeral services were held at Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel on Sunday, April 30, 2017 with Reverend John H. Swanger, III officiating. Burial followed at Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park Mausoleum. Serving as pallbearers were, Mike Ryan, Joe Lattimer, Jackson Heinz, Jones Heinz, Justin Wood and Howell Brown, Jr. Memorials may be made in Elizabeth J.
