Elizabeth Israel

Canton-Elizabeth "Betty" Worley Israel, age 65, of the Beaverdam community, died Sunday, January 16, 2005 at St. Joseph's Hospital. She was a native and lifelong resident of Haywood County and was a daughter of Polly Mae Scott Worley of Canton and the late Ralph R. Worley, Sr. In addition to her mother, she is survived by two daughters, Deborah Mount of Duluth, GA and Patricia Culberson of Canton, one sister Linda Cogburn of Canton, one brother Ralph Worley, Jr., of Canton, two grandchildren Karla Copley of Columbia, SC, Elizabeth Hunnicutt of Gainsville, GA and 2 great-grandchildren Heather Lagoutte of Columbia, SC and Peyton Hunnicutt of Gainesville, GA. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 19, 2005 at the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Homes & Cremation Services. The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Wednesday prior to the service at the funeral home.
