Elizabeth Morris

Canton, Elizabeth Bayles Morris, age 95, formerly of Chester, New York, passed away on Friday, September 5, 2014 at Silver Bluff Nursing Home. A native of Syosset, Long Island, New York, she was a descendent of the original settlers of Long Island, and had resided in Haywood County since 2002. She was the daughter of the late Harry and Elsie Van Sise Bayles and was also preceded in death by her husband, Julian B. Morris, who died in 2000. Elizabeth is survived by a daughter, Elizabeth Ann Colborne and her husband, Mahlon, of Waynesville; grandchildren, Marnette Colborne and David Colborne and his wife, Christine; great-grandchildren, Christopher, Emily, and Paige; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, September 8, 2014 at Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville.
