She is survived by her daughter, Kathey S. Hornbuckle and her husband, Jim, of St. Simons Island, Georgia; two grandchildren, Shelly H. Pine (Kevin) of Lawrenceville, Georgia and Dr. James H. Hornbuckle, III (Ashley) of St. Simons Island, Georgia; three great grandchildren, Tyler Harrison Pine of Lawrenceville, Georgia; Merritt Elizabeth and James Harrison Hornbuckle IV, of St. Simons Island, Georgia; sisters Frances Williams, Mary Deane Davis, Jean Walker (Jack) and sister-in-law Pat Rogers, all of Waynesville; and a number of loving nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks and loving gratitude to "Ms. Betty's" wonderful caregivers, Tracey Hutcherson, Renee Bennett and Mildred Green.

A Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 26, 2017 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Bobby Rogers officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. prior to the service.
