Elizabeth Wright

Elizabeth Crawford Wright, age 76, passed away on Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at her residence. She was born December, 1936 in Jackson County to the late Augustus Chastain and Nellie Melita Derrick Crawford. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence W. Wright; four sisters, Lucy McGinnis, Sarah Frady, Velma Crawford, and Clarice Crisp; three brothers, Jack, Bobby and Donald Crawford; and a special friend, J. T. Jaynes. She is survived by three children; Larry Wright and his wife, Sharon, of Pensacola, Florida; Steve Wright of Canton; and Melida Wright and special friend, Carroll Greene, of Canton; three brothers, A. C. Crawford of McAddenville, Lewis Crawford of Cramerton, and Ray Crawford and his wife, Donna, of Sylva; five sisters, Sue Wright of Canton, Sally Galloway of Waynesville, Elaine Allison and her husband, Hugh, of Dellwood, Dot Roberts and her husband, Wilburn, of Brevard, and Thelma Edwards and her husband, James, of Bostic; seven granddaughters, Amanda Zujkowski, Stacey Smith, Shelley Pressley, Jennifer Waldron, Candice Lance, Alaina Crowley, and Jessica Wright; four adopted granddaughters, Jessica Shaffstall, Jennifer Jackson, Kendra Jackson, and Lacey Whitten; nine great-grandchildren, Hannah and Trevor Clark, Ryleigh Zujkowski, Gavin and Alexis Smith, Jackson Woody, Madison Potter, Raelyn Godwin, and Sienna Pressley; several nieces and nephews; several great nieces and nephews; and special friends, E. T. and Debra Jackson. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 1, 2013 at the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend Steve Smith and Reverend Jacob Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Crawford/Ray Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
