Ellamarie Guerin

Waynesville, Ellamarie Guerin, age 93, passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2013 at the Haywood Lodge & Retirement Center. A native of Long Island, New York, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Elinor Nostrand Debevoise Smith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Guerin, who died in 2010. Ellamarie had a love for the arts and was an avid painter as well as a musician. Her talents as a musician led Ellamarie to learn the Spanish classical guitar, recorder and the Hammond organ. At the age of 75, Ellamarie took the necessary classes locally to become a silversmith. Ellamarie had a zest for life and will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by a daughter, Mary Ellen Clark and her husband, Barton, of Pasadena, Maryland; two granddaughters, Jennifer Gibbons and her husband, James Studebaker, of Reston, Virginia and Janine Dellinger and her husband, Randy, of Beacon Falls, Connecticut and one great-grandson, Evan Gibbons. Private services will be held.
