Emily Crisp

Emily Pressley Crisp, age 85, passed away on Thursday, July 19, 2012 at Autumn Care of Waynesville. A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Annie Bryson Pressley. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Gentry Otis Crisp who passed away in 1989; and a brother, Wayne Pressley. She was a member of Canton First Baptist Church and Snug Harbor. Emily loved her family and friends and enjoyed traveling. She is survived by a daughter, Janice Holland Jones and her husband, Johnny, of Lawrenceville, GA; a son, David Collier Holland and his wife, Yonnie, of Charlotte; a sister-in-law, Jan Pressley; four grandchildren, Matthew Jones and his wife, Jennifer, David Jones and his wife, Amber, Jesse Holland and his wife, Christine, and Carrie Sipe and her husband, Jason; and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 21, 2012 at Canton First Baptist Church with the Reverend James A. Meadows officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow at Bon-A-Venture Cemetery, Old Clyde Road.
