Emma Pressley

Shallotte- Emma Lee Breedlove Pressley, age 85, died Saturday, May 12, 2007 at Autumn Care Nursing Home in Shallotte, NC. She was a native of Jackson County but had resided in Haywood County for a number of years and was the youngest daughter of the late Mack Vance and Effie Nicholson Breedlove. Emma was preceded in death by her husband, Ray G. Pressley, who died in 2004. She was a member of Canton First Baptist Church where she was a member of the Women Missionary Union and Berea Sunday School Class. She is survived by one daughter, Glenda Lovelace and her husband, Dan, of Virginia Beach, VA; one son, Dr. Kevin Pressley and his wife, Darlene, of Shallotte, NC; one sister, Ruby Pressley of Glenville, NC; four grandchildren, Dr. Tim Lovelace of Minneapolis, MN, Hannah, Grace, and Luke Pressley and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 17, 2007 at Canton First Baptist Church with Reverend Ed Oakley officiating. Burial will follow at Crawford/Ray Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at Wells Funeral Home of Canton.
