Ernest Bueker

Clyde - Ernest Monroe "Moe" Bueker, Sr., age 82, died Sunday, April 18, 2004 at his residence. He was a native of Lafayette County, MO and lived in Haywood County for the past 61 years. He was the son of the late Herman and Flora Ostermeyer Bueker. He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Haynes Bueker who died in 2002. He retired from Champion International in 1988 with 41 years of service. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Clyde, Clyde Masonic Lodge #453 AF&AM, Scottish Rite of Asheville, York Rite of Waynesville and Clyde Chapter 188 Order of the Eastern Star. He was a U. S. Coast Guard Veteran. He is survived by a daughter, Lois Bueker Rogers; a son, Ernest M. Bueker, Jr. both of Clyde; a sister Lillian B. Frickie of Rockville, MO; a brother, Wilburn James Bueker of Higginsville, MO; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 21, 2004 at the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home and Cremation Services with the Reverend James Parham and Reverend Jerry Harwell officiating. Burial will follow at Crawford/Ray Memorial Gardens with Masonic graveside rites. The Clyde Lodge #453 AF&AM will open Wednesday at 12:00 noon. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorials be made to Masonic and Eastern Star Home of N.C., Inc., 700 S. Holden Road Greensboro, NC 27407-2399 or a charity of one's choice.
