Ernest Devlin, Sr.

Candler – Ernest Emry Devlin, Sr., age 75, passed away on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at his residence. A native of Haywood County, he was the son of the late Samuel Clifford and Vonnie Mason Devlin. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Martha Jones "Tootsie" Devlin, who died in 1992. He is survived by two daughters, Laura Meadows and her husband, Tim, of Candler and Donna Fink and her husband, Donald, of Fairview; a son, Ernest Emory Devlin, Jr. and his wife, Robin, of Candler; three sisters, Emily Cody of Fletcher, Geneva Garrett of Leicester, and Hilda Henderson of Black Mountain; eight grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 12:00 noon on Friday, April 5, 2013 at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Reverend H. L. Wilson officiating.
