Errol Bryan Conley, age 69, of Old US Highway 19/23 died Thursday, November 1, 2007, at John F. Keever, Jr. Solace Center in Asheville. He was a native of Swain County and had resided in Buncombe County most of his life. He was the son of the late Bert and Lillie Mae Parham Conley. Errol was employed with Montgomery Tank Lines in Charlotte and retired with 32 years trucking experience. He was a member of Ridgeway Baptist Church. Errol enjoyed the outdoors. He also loved fishing and hunting and was an avid Atlanta Braves baseball fan. His dog, Sissy, was a constant companion that he adored. He served in the North Carolina National Guard. In addition to his wife of 45 years, Linda Hall Conley of Candler, he is survived by a special friend, John Jordan and his wife, Helen, of Fairview; and two brothers, James Conley and his wife, Marie, and Gerald Conley and his wife, Faye, all of Asheville. Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, November 4, 2007, at Ridgeway Baptist Church with the Reverend Jack W. Collins and Reverend Bill Higgins officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 3:30 p.m. prior to the service at the church. At other times, the family will be at the residence.
