Ersie James

Clyde-Ersie Jerome James, 65 of the Thickety Community died at his residence Wednesday, March 26, 2003.

He was a native and lifelong resident of Haywood County and a son of the late Bradford and Lu Wilde James. He was also preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers. He was owner and operator of E. James Siding Specialists for over 20 years. He was an avid woodworker and served in the National Guard for 8 years.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Vivian James, two daughters, Sherri DuVall and her husband Mike of Kingsport, TN, Pam Gravel and her husband Tony of Canton, Terry James and his wife, Lisa of Clyde, 6 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 28, 2003 at Crawford/Ray Memorial Gardens with Reverend Jack Robinson officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Wells Funeral Homes of Canton. At other times, the family will be at the residence.
