Ethan Mills

Canton, Ethan Jeffery Mills, age 20, of Evans Road, passed away on Sunday, April 15, 2012 at MedWest Haywood. Born in Asheville, NC, he was a lifelong resident of Haywood County and was the son of Jeff and Teresa Beaver Mills. Ethan attended Bethel Christian Academy and was a 2010 graduate of Pisgah High School, where he was a member of the soccer team and chorus and was most recently employed as a chef at Papa John's Pizza. He was voted "Friendliest" of his senior class, enjoyed spending time with his many friends, singing Karaoke and playing basketball and disc golf. He was a member of Rehoboth Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his siblings, Ivy, William, and Holder Mills, all of Canton; maternal grandparents, Betty Clonts Beaver of Murphy and Andy Beaver of Spring Hill, Florida; paternal grandparents, Louie and Patsy Mills of Waynesville; five aunts and uncles; and twelve cousins. Ethan never met a stranger and everyone he knew loved him. He always had a smile on his face and the love and joy of Jesus in his heart and his life. His care and concern for people was evident in his desire to give of himself to others, whether he had known them for years or only a day. The pride of his parents every day of his life, heaven's gain is truly our loss; he will be missed by many. "Good night sweet prince and flights of angels gently sing thee to thy rest." Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at Rehoboth Baptist Church with Pastor Craig Connor and Pastor Kevin McBride officiating. Burial will follow at Rocky Branch Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m. prior to services at the church.
