Ethel Grogan

Ethel Marie Fox Grogan, age 87, died Saturday, April 25, 2009 at Silver Bluff Nursing Home. A native of Caldwell County, she was a daughter of the late Dewey W. and Mary Jane Hall Fox. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Terrell Vance Grogan, who died in 2007, and two sisters, Flora Johnson and Tressie McRary. Ethel was a member of East Fork Baptist Church. She is survived by a son, Johnny Grogan and his wife, Carol, of Clyde; three brothers, Levi Fox of Hudson, Thurman Fox of Lenoir, and Ray Fox of Ponce de Leon, FL; two grandchildren, Miranda Griffin of Waynesville and Heather Baginski of Austin, TX; and two great-grandchildren, Timothy and Dakota. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 28, 2009 in the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Greg Cullen officiating. Burial will follow at New Cruso Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home.
