Ethel Muse

Ethel H. Muse, age 84, of Candler, passed away peacefully in her home on Friday, September 7, 2007, after a long illness. She was a native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County and was the daughter of the late Lewis Pless and Ida Ethel Scruggs Hall. She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, John C. Muse, who died in 1980. Ethel retired from Enka Manufacturing with 48 years of service. She had a great sense of humor and loved quilting and gardening. She is survived by three daughters, Brenda L. Muse, Barbara Muse and JoAnn Muse, all of Candler; two sons, Miles J. Muse and his wife Sally, and Roy C. Muse and his wife, Lisa, all of Candler; and a granddaughter, Melissa L. Muse. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 11, 2007, at the chapel of Wells Funeral Home of Canton with the Reverend Arnold Webb officiating. Burial will follow at Ridgeway Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Bill Hall, Roy Muse, Miles Muse, David Hall, Brian Hall, Emory Worley and Donald Hall.
