Etta Forrister

Canton-Etta Rowland Forrister-88, of the West Canton Community, died Thursday, November 07, 2002 at Silver Bluff Nursing Home.

She was a native of Cherokee County but had lived most of her life in Haywood County. She was a daughter of the late Anthony T. and Ollie Van Dora Passmore Roland and was the wife of the late Claude Forrister who died in 1982. She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Anthony H. "Tony" Reynolds who died in 1984. She was a member of Beulah Baptist Church and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by Shelba Jene Reynolds and her husband Jack H. of Canton, one sister, Lois Pisczek of Franklin, NH, two brothers, Thomas Rowland of Canton and Gay Rowland of Asheville, 1 granddaughter, Linda Reynolds Cabe of Charlotte, 2 great grandsons, Ryan and Jackson Cabe, also of Charlotte and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, November 9, 2002 at Crawford/Ray Memorial Gardens with Reverend Ted Reynolds officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. Friday at Wells Funeral Homes of Canton.
