Etta Hardin

Etta Pless Hardin, age 91, formerly of Ellen Avenue died Friday, July 21, 2006, at Magnolia Health Care Center in Asheville. She was a native and lifelong resident of Haywood County and the daughter of the late Thadeus and Bertha Wilson Pless. She was preceded in death by two husbands, James E. Corzine, who died in 1965 and Forest G. Hardin, who died in 1996; five sisters, Mary Mathews, Ida Corzine, Wilma Rhodarmer, Manerva Hicks, and Mattie Pruett; two brothers; Edwin and T. B. Pless and a step son, Larry Hardin. She was a member of Beulah Baptist Church. She is survived by two sons, Thomas L. Corzine and his wife, Clarene, of Clyde and Bruce L. Corzine and his wife, Kay, of Canton; a step-daughter, Nelda Scroggs and her husband, Terry, of Clyde; five grandchildren, Karen West, Keith, Wayne, Timothy, and Brett Corzine; a step granddaughter, Melanie Fore; seven great grandchildren, Adrianne and Nicole West, Coleman, Connor, Dakota, Aubree, and Hadley Corzine; three step great grandchildren, Lynn Forner, Joshua Ralston, and Jacob Riddle; two step great-great granddaughters, Chelsea and Amaya Forner and several nieces. Graveside services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 23, 2006, at Crawford/Ray Memorial Gardens with the Reverend Matthew Pruett officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:30 until 3:30 p.m. prior to the service at Wells Funeral Home of Canton.
