Eunice Williams Hinson Willard, age 80, of Poison Cove died Tuesday, September 8, 2009, at Silver Bluff Nursing Home. A native of Union County, she had resided in Haywood County for 50 years. She was the daughter of the late Lee and Verla May Gill Williams. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Norman Hinson and her second husband, Ray Paul Willard; a son, Randy Hinson; a brother, Lloyd Williams; and a sister, Eula May Russell. She retired from Haywood Regional Medical Center as a certified nursing assistant with more than 25 years of service. Eunice was an active member of Louisa Chapel United Methodist Church. She enjoyed sewing, canning, making sterling silver jewelry, and gardening. She is survived by two sons, Roger Hinson of Rogersville, MO and Sidney "Butch" Willard of Annandale, VA; a daughter, Renee Anderson and her husband, Lewis of Pfafftown, NC; a sister, Ruby Lee Gardner of Rock Hill, SC; four grandchildren, Christy McDermott, Michelle Davis, Jeremy Hinson, and Zach Anderson; and four great-grandchildren, Emma and Annie McDermott, and Hunter and Cadden Davis. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 11, 2009, at Louisa Chapel United Methodist Church with the Reverend James M. Armstrong and Reverend Carrol Lindsey officiating.
