Euphia King

Euphia Robinson King, age 91, of Newfound Road, passed away peacefully, Saturday, October 29, 2005 at Mountain Area Hospice Solace Center. She was a native and lifelong resident of Haywood County. She was the daughter of the late Will and Emma McElrath Robinson. She was preceded in death by her husband Kelly King in 1979; three sisters and two brothers. Mrs. King was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by three daughters, Kathy King, Karen Burgess and her husband, Phil all of Canton; and Keitha Oldham and her husband, David of Waynesville; four sons, Donald King of Atlanta, GA, David King, Doyle King and his wife, Wanda, and Doug King and his wife, Sherry all of Canton; two sisters, Lois Parker of South Carolina and Eva Robinson of Canton; one brother, Fred Robinson also of Canton; ten grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; and a special friend, Kevin Owens. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, November 1, 2005 at the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend Jimmy Moore officiating. Burial will follow at Bon - A - Venture Cemetery, Newfound Road. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday, October 31, 2005 at Wells Funeral Home in Canton, and at other times the family will be at the residence of her daughter, Kathy King 3294 Newfound Road, Canton, NC 28716. Serving as pallbearers are her nephew, Calvin King; five of her grandsons, Stephen Burgess, Bryan and Thad Hannah, Mark and Scott King.
