Eva Arrington

Waynesville-Eva Edna McElrath Arrington, age 92, of Carl Arrington Road, died on Friday, November 9, 2007. A native of Haywood County, she was the daughter of Charlie and Hattie Ledford McElrath. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Arrington, who died in 1990; a grandson, Gregory Arrington; one sister, Mindy Price; and two brothers, Ammons and Wilson McElrath. Eva enjoyed spending countless hours in her garden. She also loved sewing but most importantly, she enjoyed spending quality time with all of her family. She is survived by one daughter, Louise Hannah; three sons, James E. Arrington and his wife, Betty, Paul F. Arrington, and Robert E. Arrington and his wife, Mary; two sisters, Estalee Teague and Leona Rathbone and husband, Glenn; one brother, Geter McElrath and his wife, Dorothy; 12 grandchildren; and 20 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 11, 2007 in the Waynesville chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend G.W. Jameson officiating. Burial will follow at Panther Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Saturday evening at the funeral home.
