Eva Moody

Waynesville, Eva Lou Ledford Moody, age 71, of 219 Killian Street, died on Thursday, June 12, 2008 at her residence. A native and lifetime resident of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Willie and Mollie Fish Ledford. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant son, Jackie Moody; two sisters, Cora Davis and Pearl Caldwell; three brothers, Jack and Clay Ledford and Orville Fish. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed crocheting, gospel music, reading her bible, holding and attending prayer meetings. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Kenneth Moody; two daughters, Priscilla Ann Parks and her husband, Junior, of Waynesville and Tamara Brown and her fiancée, Jim Briggs, of Maggie Valley; one brother, Lester Ledford and his wife of Waynesville; and one granddaughter, Stephanie Brown. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 14, 2008 at Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel with Reverend Neal Roland officiating.
