Eva Muse

Eva Jean Cole Muse, 72, of Stone Ridge Drive, Candler, died Saturday, February 16, 2008, at St. Joseph. She was a native of Haywood County and was the daughter of the late James Blutch and Martha Justice Cole. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gus Clarence Muse, Jr., who died in 1997; and two brothers, James and Bill Cole. Jean enjoyed gardening, needlework, crochet and painting. Surviving are one daughter, Kem Muse of Candler; one son, Jim Muse and his wife, Dawn, and a very special grandson, Alex, "Little Jim" of Candler; sister-in-law, Sue Cole of Canton; and longtime canine friend, Sassy. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, February 19, at Pisgah View Memorial Park with Reverend Chris Willett officiating. The family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. until to 9:00 p.m. Monday evening at Wells Funeral Home of Canton. Memorials may be made to High Street Baptist Church, 65 High Street, Canton, NC 28716. Wells Funeral Home of Canton is in charge of arrangements.
