Waynesville-Eva Mae Lee Rich, age 73, of 309 Hyatt Street, died on Sunday, November 18, 2007 at Memorial Mission Hospital after a lengthy illness. A native of McDowell County, she had lived in Haywood County for more than 70 years. She was the daughter of the late Luther and Rosa Robinson Lee and was also preceded in death by 10 siblings and one granddaughter. She was a CNA for over 20 years and attended Belmont Baptist Church and Log Cabin Baptist Church on Hyatt Creek. She was an avid Nascar fan of Dale Earnhart, Jr. She loved all of the soap operas and was current on news events. She was proud of all of her children and grandchildren and maintained close family relationships. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, William; two daughters, Mary Ann Wyatt and her husband, Ned, and Nora Green and her husband, Mike, all of Waynesville; three sons, Tommy Rich and his wife, Eyvonne, of the Crabtree Community, David Rich and his wife, Loretta, and Ricky Rich and his wife, Annette, all of Clyde; three sisters, Carrie Lee Laney and her husband, Gene, of Robbinsville; and Virginia Gaddis and Christine Shelton; one brother, Paul Lee and his wife, Jencie, of Waynesville; fifteen grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and one great-great granddaughter. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 21, 2007, in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Kenny Bank and Reverend Phillip Wyatt officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
