Evelyn Carver

Waynesville- Evelyn Sharp Carver, age 79, formerly of Morning Drive, passed away on Thursday, September 16, 2010 at McCracken Rest Home. She was a native of Jackson County, and the daughter of the late Herbert and Martha Wiggins Sharp. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank M. Carver, who died in 1990; three brothers, Ernest, Dewey and John Sharp. Evelyn enjoyed working in her yard, flowers, and attending family reunions. She attended East Waynesville Baptist Church. She is survived by two brothers, Edgar Sharp of Cashiers, NC, and Tom Sharp and his wife, Hilda, of Waynesville; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 19, 2010 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Jake Cagle officiating. Burial will follow at Garrett Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Serving as pallbearers will be Austin Mathis, Shain and Josh Carver, Tony, Cleamon, and Cliff Moffitt. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
