Evelyn Clark

Nora Evelyn Davis Clark, age 82, died Monday, November 3, 2008, at Haywood Regional Medical Center. A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late James Robert and Dorothy Huffman Davis and Kenneth Noah and Grace Forrester. She was preceded in death by her husband, J. C. Clark; a daughter, Linda Gail Clark; two brothers, Tommy and Kenneth Davis; and a sister, Shelby Eannarino. She was a member of Beulah Baptist Church and attended Rockwood United Methodist Church. She is survived by two daughters, Nancy Cherry and her husband, Doug, of Waynesville and Doris Clark and her husband, Danny, of Clyde; three sisters, Helen Fields of Low Gap, NC, Betty Pratt of Sumner, TX, and Peggy Morrow of Amarillo, TX; one grandson, Jeff McCracken and his wife, Andrea; four step grandchildren, Shay and Chris Cherry; Owen Clark and his wife, Natalia, and Amos Clark and his wife, Crystal; a great-granddaughter, Alexis Flores McCracken; six step great-grandchildren, Keely, Karsan, Morgan, and Mackenzie Cherry and Nathan and Nicholas Clark; and two sisters-in-law; Dorothy Carter and Betty Sellers. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Wednesday, November 5, 2008, at the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend Stephen W. Miller and Dr. Tony Morrow officiating. Burial will follow at Bon-A-Venture Cemetery, Newfound Road. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon prior to the service at the funeral home.
