Evelyn Deaver

Evelyn Galloway Deaver, age 87, formerly of Canton died Sunday, May 13, 2007, at Heartland Hospice in Conyers, GA. She was a native of Haywood County and the daughter of the late Elzie Isaiah and Ethel Pressley Galloway. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifton Deaver who died in 1991; a daughter, Patricia Deaver; and two sisters, Faye Trull and Lucy West. Mrs. Deaver was a member of East Fork Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School teacher and youth leader. She is survived by three daughters, Rita Galloway and her husband, Harry, of Covington, GA, Barbara Coyne and her husband, James, of Canton, and Judy Hendrix and her husband, Charles, of Hampton, VA; a son, Lefaine Deaver and his wife, Barbara, of Providence, KY; a sister, Frances Deaver, of Hampton, VA; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and nieces, Bobbie Smith and her husband, Don, of Canton and Faye Rogers of SC. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 17, 2007, at East Fork Baptist Church with the Reverend Robert L. Deaver, Reverend Wayne Willett, and Reverend Todd West officiating. Burial will follow at New Cruso Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Wells Funeral Home of Canton. Pallbearers will be James Coyne, Harry Galloway, Jr., Brent and Chad Galloway, and Shannon and Jarod Hendrix.
