Evelyn Green

Lake Junaluska, Evelyn Grant Green, age 78, of 175 Lakeview Drive, passed away on Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at MedWest Haywood. A native of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Floyd and Grace Rich Grant. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Georgia Childress and Betty Jo Freeman and two brothers, James and Jackson Grant. Evelyn enjoyed her role as a homemaker and also loved to shop. She was a member of Dellwood Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Robert Lee "Bobby" Green; one daughter, Judith Elaine Green of Birmingham, Alabama; one son, Terry Lee Green, of Waynesville; one sister, Smokie Jones, of Canton; a sister-in-law, Helen Grant, of Maggie Valley; one brother-in-law, Bill Freeman, of Waynesville; and three grandchildren, Cameron Lee, Sarah Ann, and Jessica Elaine Green. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 31, 2012 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Bobby Rogers and Reverend Barry Willett officiating. Private inurnment will be at Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 2:00 p.m. prior to services at the funeral home.
