Evelyn Inman

Waynesville, Evelyn Green Inman, age 88, of 134 Vaughn Cove Road, passed away on Tuesday, November 1, 2011 at her residence. A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Elzie Wyatt Green. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Reverend Robert �Shorty� Laverne Inman, who died February 13, 1995; twins, Mary and Mark Inman; a son-in-law, Arnold Bowles; two granddaughters, Amy Rene� Inman and Candetta Moody; one sister, Opal Ledford; and three brothers, Edward, Samuel, and Carl Green. Evelyn loved flowers and was an excellent biscuit maker. She was of Church of God faith. She is survived by eight daughters, Barbara Bowles, of Gastonia, Kathy Messer and husband, James, of Waynesville, Dorothy Seiler and husband, Frank, of Stokesdale, Wilma Green and husband, Kenneth, and Alice James and husband, Larry, all of Canton, and Brenda Burnette, and husband, Bobby, Jane Dills and husband, Michael, Judy Caldwell and husband, Darrell, all of Waynesville; one son, William Inman and wife, Deborah, of Woodfin; two sisters, Alice Stevens and husband, Danny of Waynesville and Janie Ledford, of Bostic; one brother, Alvin Green, of Waynesville; 19 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and 8 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 4, 2011 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Jerry Nelson, Reverend Gene Worley, Reverend Steve Rhinehart, Reverend Charles Creasman, Reverend Mark Atkinson, and Reverend Jimmy Trantham officiating. Burial will follow at Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park. Serving as pallbearers will be son-in-laws and grandsons will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family will begin receiving friends at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home, and at other times, at the residence. Memorials may be made to CarePartners Hospice Memorial Fund, P.O.
