Evelyn Raulerson

Evelyn Brant Raulerson, age 92, of the Cruso Community passed away on Sunday, July 24, 2011, at Silver Bluff Nursing Home. A native of Berrien Center, Michigan, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Agnes Easton Brant. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gifford J. Raulerson; two brothers, Lester and Bob Brant. She is survived by five sons, Lee Roy Raulerson and his wife, Muriel, James B. "Toppy" Raulerson and his wife, Georgie, Steven R. Raulerson and his wife, Teresa, Gifford C. Raulerson and his wife, Brenda, and David E. Raulerson; one sister, Deanna Brant Boehner and her husband, Ron; one brother, Carl "Top" Brant and his wife, Winnie; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Evelyn moved with her entire family from Michigan in 1923 to Boynton Beach, Florida, where she won Miss Boynton Beach at age 19. For 30 years, she would wave from her home at the engineers and trains gaining recognition from the Florida East Coast Railroad for being their Special Friend. She was a member at First Baptist Church and Westside Baptist Church in Boynton Beach, Florida, as well as East Fork Baptist Church. She also belonged to the Cruso Friendship Club. Evelyn dearly loved and prayed daily for her family. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 28, 2011, at the East Fork Baptist Church with the Reverend Greg Cullen and Reverend Johnny Foster officiating. Burial will follow at the New Cruso Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Wells Funeral Home of Canton is in charge of arrangements.
