Evelyn Roland

Waynesville, Evelyn Josephine Moody Roland, age 71, passed away on Monday, June 15 at Memorial Mission Hospital. A native of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Everette and Hazel Caldwell Moody and was also preceded in death by siblings, Betty Conner and Jimmy Moody and one grandson, Jamie Roland. Evelyn loved spending time with her children and grandchildren as well as cooking and shopping at Walmart. Evelyn is survived by two daughters, Beverly Rife (Dale) of Waynesville and Teresa Roland of Clyde; two sons, Jamie Roland (Tracy) and Michael Roland (Mary), of Waynesville, two sisters, Margaret Caldwell of Waynesville and Charlene Evans of Maggie Valley; a brother, Kenneth Moody of Waynesville; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 18, 2015 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Neal Roland and Reverend James Roland officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 p.m. prior to services at the funeral home and at other times, at her daughter's home at 19 Scates Street.
