"Sweet Lady"

Waynesville-Evelyn Louise "Polly" Sandin, 99, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 11, 2017 at the Homestead.

Born in Kankakee, Illinois on March 21, 1918 she was the daughter of the late William Nick and Meroa Bell Kile Morris. Polly married Carter Sandin, Sr. in 1942 where for 50 years they partnered in work and life, prior to his death in 1992. In addition to her husband and parents, Polly was preceded in death by two sons and three brothers. She was a registered nurse for many years, as well as an owner/operator of several motels with her husband, Carter.

She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Huffner and husband, Ronald, of Waynesville.

"Polly's" funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 14, 2017 at the Wells Events and Reception Center. The family will receive friends from 3:00 until 4:00 p.m. prior to the service at the Event Center.
