Everett Davis

April 28, 1930 — November 15, 2006

Waynesville-Everett Burton Davis, age 76, died Wednesday, November 15, 2006 at his residence in Morristown, Tennessee. A native of Haywood County, he was the son of the late Hobert Luther and Elsie Crawford Davis. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a son, Everett W. Davis. Mr. Davis was employed by General Motors as an overhead crane operator before retiring in 1986 with 31 years of service. He served in the National Guard and was a member of the Open Door Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn E. Davis; four sons, Ricky Davis and his wife, Audrey, of Riverton, CT, Michael Davis and his wife, Jean, of Waynesville, Jeffrey Davis and his wife, Sally, of Sandisfield, MA, and Terry Davis of New Hartford, CT; one sister, Nina Patton, of Canton; eight grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, November 19, 2006 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Mark Burford officiating. Burial will follow at Crawford/Ray Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 9:30 until 11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
