Fannie Ewart

July 23, 1926 — January 29, 2010

Canton, Fannie Burr Ewart, age 83, died on Friday, January 29, 2010 at Canton Christian Convalescent Center. A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late George and Lonnie Palmer Ewart. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by three brothers, John Palmer, Hugh, and Kenneth Ewart and stepmother, Annie Wells Ewart. Fannie attended Center Pigeon Baptist Church. She is survived by a sister, Geneva Gaddy, of White Pine, TN; six nieces, three nephews, 12 great nieces, seven great nephews, 16 great great nieces and 16 great great nephews. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:45 prior to the service at Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville. Serving as pallbearers will be her nephews.
