Fay Chapman

Fay Bagwell Chapman, age 90, died Monday, January 7, 2008 at Haywood Regional Medical Center. She was a native of Spartanburg, SC and the daughter of the late William Lee and Jerusha Haynes Bagwell. She was preceded in death by her husband, Weaver Chapman who died in 1998. Mrs. Chapman was a graduate of Converse College and was employed with the Haywood County School System as a teacher. She was a member of Clyde Central United Methodist Church. She is survived by a daughter, Rebecca Bryson and a son, William “Bill” Chapman and his wife, Jeannie, all of Clyde; two grandchildren, Phillip Bryson and Lynn Krucke; and a great-granddaughter, Lauren Weaver Krucke. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 11, 2008 at the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend Randall Tingle officiating. Entombment will follow at Crawford/Ray Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
