Faye Myers

October 19, 1917 — April 27, 2005

Waynesville-Faye Franklin Myers, age 87, of 498 Westwood Circle, died Wednesday, April 27, 2005 at St. Joseph Hospital. A native of Swain County, she was the daughter of the late Wilburn Harrison Franklin and Virgie Alice Ledford Franklin. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Luther Francis Myers; a sister, Nina Franklin; four brothers, Jack, Mack, Bruce, and Lee Franklin. She was a homemaker and attended Sulphur Springs Freewill Baptist Church. She was an avid gardener, loved flowers and her cats, and enjoyed preparing meals for her family. She is survived by a daughter, Nina Myers Hargrove, and her husband, Jack, of Waynesville; a son, Ronnie Ray Myers, of Asheville; a brother, Ernest Franklin, and his wife, Louise, of Marion; three sister-in-laws, Genouise, Lilas, and Patsy Franklin, all of Marion; three grandchildren, Rhonda White, Lannie Hargrove, Cherri Inman, all of Waynesville; four great grandchildren, Seslie White Higgins, Cassie White, Makayela and Marissa Inman. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 30, 2005 in the Waynesville chapel of Wells Funeral Homes and Cremation Services with Reverend Phillip Wyatt and Reverend Carl Cook officiating. Burial will follow at Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service.
