Faye Fish Scott, age 89, passed away on Wednesday, August 15, 2012, at her residence. Born in Macon County, she was a lifelong resident of Haywood County and the daughter of the late Dewey Thomas and Julia Woods Fish. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Burgin Scott, who died in 2001; three brothers; and seven sisters. She retired from American Enka Corporation with 34 years of service and was a member of Long Branch Baptist Church. Faye was a very hard worker and had a strong work ethic. She will be remembered for her dedication to her family whom she loved dearly. One of her favorite hobbies was canning. Faye also held her Christian faith near and dear to her heart. She is survived by two daughters, Barbara McClure of Canton and Jay McClure of Clyde and Linda West and her husband, Ned of Canton; two sisters, Catherine Worley of Canton and Dorothy Capps and her husband, Dean of Arcadia, CA; four grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; a very special friend, Jim Worley; and many nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 18, 2012 at Beaverdam Baptist Church Cemetery with the Reverend Tommy Carlisle officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:30 p.m. prior to the service at Wells Funeral Home of Canton. Memorials may be made to CarePartners Hospice Memorial Fund, P.O.
