Felbert Ammons

Clyde, Felbert "Ray" Ammons, age 70, passed away on Sunday, June 23, 2013 at MedWest-Haywood. A native of Haywood County, he was the son of the late Roy and Eva Inman Ammons. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Rinehart Ammons and a sister, Rose Ammons. Ray was employed by Ammons Drive Inn for 20 years. He enjoyed trading anything of value with other people. He is survived by a daughter, Marty Ammons of Lawrenceville, Georgia and two brothers, Charles Ammons and his wife, Dorothy, of Waynesville and Roger Ammons and his wife, Kathy of Sylva; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 27, 2013 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Charles Dean officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel Community Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
