Florence Rhinehart

Waynesville-Florence Smith Rhinehart, age 82, formerly of 994 Stamey Cove Road, passed away on Wednesday, October 12, 2005 at the Brian Center. A native and life-long resident of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Charles William and Onolee Sellers Smith. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles Troy Rhinehart; a daughter, Dorothy Killian; a grandson, Michael Allan; and a brother, Robert Flint Smith. Florence loved plants and tending her garden. She also had a passion for reading and bird watching. She was a member of Louisa Chapel United Methodist Church. She is survived by a daughter, Doris Hilliard and her husband, Michael, of Maggie Valley; three grandchildren, Michael Hilliard, Sue Ellen Hilliard, and Jennifer Conard; and five great grandchildren, Cody Hilliard, Ben Hooper, Kylie and Jared Conard, and Aylissa Horton. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 14, 2005 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Carrol Lindsey officiating. Burial will follow at Crawford/Ray Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Thursday evening at Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville. Serving as pallbearers will be Tommy Osborne, Bobby Justice, Shane Griffin, Jeff Sutton, and Rusty and Robby Dellinger.
